Difference between Middle Pane, Preview Pane and Sidebar

This article explains the differences between the Middle Pane, Preview Pane, and Sidebar when using Palpaca in HubSpot. Knowing where each appears will help you decide the best placement for your Palpaca cards.
Middle Pane
The Middle Pane is the main content area where you open a record in HubSpot. It occupies the center of the screen and is ideal for apps or layouts that need more space and visibility.
Example: If you add Palpaca to a Ticket’s Middle Pane, it will appear in the main workspace of that Ticket.
Preview Pane
The Preview Pane is a pop-up panel that appears on the right-hand side when you preview a record without fully opening it.
Example: If you add Palpaca to the Deal Preview Pane, it will be visible when you click the preview icon on a Deal in your pipeline.
Sidebar
The Sidebar is a panel on the right side when you fully open a record. It stays visible alongside the Middle Pane.
Example: If you add Palpaca to the Contact Sidebar, you can always access it without switching away from your record details.
